The course (Management for Teachers) aims to show that proper leadership & management from school leaders will promote a culture of improvement, collaboration, innovation and creativity in learning, teaching and assessment, foster a commitment to inclusion, equality of opportunity and the holistic development of each pupil manage the planning and implementation of the curriculum, foster teacher professional development that enriches teachers’ and pupils’ learning.
We intend to show participants that an introduction of management does not need to be a daunting experience. We hope to demonstrate how management skills from the business world are easily transferable to the education environment. The aim of this course is to provide a clear comprehensive set of positive managerial strategies and techniques for teachers in relation to leadership and the application of these techniques in their schools can be a benefit to all.
The aim of this course is to introduce participants to the role of leadership in school management and its impact on the quality of teaching and learning within the whole school environment.
On completion of this course, the participant will have a greater appreciation of the role of leadership and its impact on the quality of teaching. They will have explored key aspects of management such as communication, performance, conflict management, people management, motivation, task and time management and decision-making techniques. They will understand key management techniques and their application to schools in the context of school improvement.
